Pengaruh Ekstrak Buah Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis Guineensis) Terhadap Kadar Gula Darah, SGOT, SGPT pada Tikus Putih (Rattus Norvegicus) Galur Wistar yang Diinduksi Streptozotocin: Studi in Vivo

Hiperglikemia merupakan kondisi kronis yang dapat menyebabkan komplikasi serius, seperti kerusakan organ hati dan peningkatan enzim SGOT serta SGPT, yang berhubungan erat dengan Diabetes Melitus (DM). Salah satu penyebab utama kerusakan jaringan adalah stres oksidatif akibat tingginya kadar glukosa darah. Penanganan DM saat ini mencakup terapi farmakologis, tetapi efek sampingnya mendorong pencarian alternatif berbasis herbal. Buah kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.), yang kaya akan antioksidan seperti karotenoid dan vitamin E, memiliki potensi antidiabetik dan hepatoprotektif. Mengevaluasi pengaruh ekstrak buah kelapa sawit terhadap kadar glukosa darah, SGOT, dan SGPT pada tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) galur Wistar yang diinduksi streptozotocin (STZ). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental laboratorik dengan rancangan post-test only with control group, randomized experimental design. Terdapat 5 kelompok yang diberi perlakuan selama 14 hari, yaitu KN (kontrol negatif, pakan standar), KP (kontrol positif, streptozotocin), P1 (streptozotocin + ekstrak buah kelapa sawit 100 mg/kgBB), P2 (streptozotocin + ekstrak 200 mg/kgBB), dan P3 (streptozotocin + ekstrak 300 mg/kgBB). Data dianalisis dengan uji ANOVA dan uji Post Hoc. Uji ANOVA menunjukkan nilai P=0,000 untuk KGD, P=0,013 untuk SGOT, dan P=0,024 untuk SGPT. Uji Post Hoc menunjukkan dosis ekstrak 300 mg/kgBB memberikan hasil P<0,05 dibandingkan dosis 100 dan 200 mg/kgBB. Terdapat pengaruh pemberian ekstrak buah kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis) terhadap penurunan nilai KGD, SGOT, dan SGPT pada tikus putih galur Wistar yang diinduksi streptozotocin.
