Evaluasi Komparatif Antarmuka Dark Mode dan Light Mode terhadap Kenyamanan Visual dan Durasi Membaca pada Artikel Berbasis Web

Desain antarmuka digital, termasuk light mode dan dark mode, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kenyamanan visual dan pengalaman pengguna. Namun, pengaruh kedua mode tampilan terhadap kenyamanan visual dan durasi membaca pada website berbasis artikel masih perlu dieksplorasi lebih lanjut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh light mode dan dark mode terhadap kenyamanan visual dan durasi membaca pengguna pada website artikel serta menganalisis hubungan antara keduanya. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen berpasangan (within-subject design) melibatkan 74 responden yang membaca artikel dalam dua mode tampilan. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner berbasis skala Likert dan dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik deskriptif, paired sample t-test, serta analisis korelasi. Tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada kenyamanan visual antara kedua mode (p = 0.6679). Namun, durasi membaca lebih lama pada dark mode (p = 0.0363). Terdapat hubungan positif antara kenyamanan visual dan durasi membaca, yang lebih kuat pada dark mode. Meskipun dark mode tidak meningkatkan kenyamanan visual secara signifikan, mode ini dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan pengguna dalam membaca. Fitur dual-mode interface dapat menjadi strategi desain efektif untuk meningkatkan pengalaman pengguna.
