Analisis Hasil Pengelasan Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) pada Komponen Leaning Rod Unit G5816 Dengan Metode Pengujian Non Destructive Test di PT. Antareja Mahada Makmur

Motor grader merupakan salah satu alat penunjang utama dalam pekerjaan perataan jalan tambang. Komponen leaning rod pada unit motor grader G5816 memiliki fungsi penting dalam mempertahankan kestabilan kemiringan front axle, sehingga kondisi strukturalnya sangat menentukan efektivitas operasi grader. Kerusakan pada leaning rod umum terjadi akibat beban dinamis, getaran, keausan, dan siklus pembebanan yang terus menerus sehingga memerlukan perbaikan untuk mengembalikan fungsinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas hasil pengelasan perbaikan pada komponen leaning rod. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan analisis kualitas pengelasan menggunakan metode Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) dan inspeksi mutu las melalui Non-Destructive Test (NDT) berupa Visual Test (VT) dan Liquid Penetrant Test (LPT). Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan jenis cacat yang muncul berupa undercut dan porosity. Berdasarkan standar AWS D1.1 serta ASME Section IX Article 1 QW 195, cacat linear (undercut) dinyatakan tidak memenuhi acceptance criteria sehingga perlu dilakukan repair dan pengelasan ulang. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan NDT efektif mendeteksi ketidaksempurnaan las dan menjadi indikator penting dalam penjaminan kualitas sambungan las struktur alat berat.
