Analisis Penurunan Torsi Fleksi Siku Sebagai Indikator Fatigue Selama Serial Dumbbell Bicep Curl Pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Sam Ratulangi

Kemampuan otot untuk menghasilkan gaya akan menurun akibat kontraksi berulang, yang dikenal dengan istilah muscle fatigue. Penurunan ini dapat diukur secara objektif dengan pengukuran torsi, yang secara biomekanik menunjukkan efektivitas gaya otot terhadap sumbu rotasi sendi. Torsi fleksi siku, yang dihasilkan oleh kontraksi otot Biceps brachii, menjadi indikator penting dalam menilai performa otot ekstremitas atas. Namun, penggunaan alat pengukur torsi berbasis elektromiografi (EMG) atau alat isokinetik sering dianggap mahal dan kurang praktis untuk penelitian berskala mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan biomekanika berbasis analisis sudut eksternal dengan software Kinovea untuk menghitung torsi fleksi siku selama gerakan dumbbell bicep curl. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat penurunan torsi fleksi siku yang signifikan sebagai indikator muscle fatigue selama serangkaian gerakan dumbbell bicep curl pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Sam Ratulangi Manado. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi-experimental dengan desain within-subject repeated measures yang melibatkan 20 mahasiswa laki-laki berusia 18-25 tahun. Gerakan tiga set dumbbell bicep curl direkam dan dianalisis menggunakan Kinovea untuk menentukan sudut torsi fleksi siku, kemudian dihitung torsi secara manual. Data antar set diuji dengan Repeated Measures Anova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan torsi fleksi siku yang signifikan antar set (p < 0,001), dengan uji post-hoc Bonferroni menunjukkan semua perbandingan set bermakna. RPE juga meningkat seiring bertambahnya set. Torsi fleksi siku menurun secara signifikan selama serial dumbbell bicep curl, sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai indikator objektif muscle fatigue.
